About the position

We are looking for an individual contributor who is passionate to make a difference in a Global Project & Service Logistics function and be competent in taking on future new initiatives building processes, structures, and in leading day to day logistics operation from sales order intake to order fulfillment.
The individual has the ultimate responsibility to identify steps leading to the sales order fulfillment for the global service and project teams in North America. You can expect to work closely together with our other Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities

Sales orders

  • Register sales orders and send order confirmations to customers
  • Coordinate urgent orders (gather info regarding delivery internally in Nel and coordinate with shipping/other stakeholders)
  • Support Service warehouse with delivery overview and prioritization
  • Fill in documents related to outbound shipping, including pro forma invoice and invoice
  • Being the link to our Finance department about invoiced sales orders

Logistics

  • Handle questions in general about freight
  • Asses, and select carrier
  • Arrange outbound shipments in close collaboration with the planning department and warehousing
  • Coordinate urgent orders (gather info internally in Nel and coordinate with shipping forwarder

Customs

  • Clarification of questions from Sub business units or carrier related to customers
  • Identify and update missing invoice, (HS/tariff codes)

General

  • Contribute to continuous process improvements within daily work processes. Focusing on:
  • Better quality in the process – minimization of stock deviations
  • Better use of our IT- tools, and less use of manual resources.
  • Ensure accurate communication to the customers of the processes
  • Ensure proper quality in input from process suppliers
  • Establishment of KPIs for the processes
  • Document processes with instructions

Qualifications

Required skills and abilities

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience with logistics from a logistics provider or OEM’s with export function beyond EU
  • Maybe you hold a Shipping or Carriere education or a College Degree in supply chain or engineering
  • Hands-on ERP application working experience, Navision experience is an advantage
  • Several years of experiences in global supply chain management function would be highly appreciated
  • Strong background in shipping logistics, and supply chain management
  • Fluent in English, both in writing and speaking is necessary
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-tasking
  • Possessing analytical skills
  • Resourceful and willing to help
  • Getting things done – in time
  • Good communicator and a team player
