About the position

In this position you will be part of our newly established global corporate technology and work within the field of Fueling Technology in close cooperation with the Fueling Division Product Development. Your workplace is Herning albeit in a sound global context across functions in corporate technology and other functions globally.

As our new super engaged and curious material specialist you will work on growing our internal competencies within materials technology for metals, surface protection, coatings, forming processes and welding.

Your natural explorative nature and in-depth material knowledge enables you to participate in ongoing and new technology / research projects and at the same time run feasibility studies and generate innovative ideas for new research.

You bring experience from working with the bigger picture in both research and technology development meaning you effortless support building the technology roadmap and defining future requirements to make the ends meet, this is indeed where magic happens and we bring even more value to the world.

You bring your specialist competencies into play when working closely with Product Development and supporting the Quality Department.

From a mere scouting and external point of view, this role will further develop and even bring in new cooperation with Universities to anchor and secure we always have state of the art competencies, world-class benchmark, and leading knowledge within your area of responsibility.

Overall, we simply expect you to be part of growing our competencies into a cross functional teamwork, which makes us stand out as an expert competence centre.

Qualifications

Education

Ideally you hold a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, metallurgy or similar.

Required skills and abilities

On top of the education we imagine the ideal candidate brings:

  • +10 years’ experience from a technology focused company.
  • Experience with DLC coating technology and advanced thin sheet metal forming.
  • In depth knowledge and experience about hydrogen embrittlement
  • Experience with quality assurance of high strength welded joints and materials
  • Experience from an internal company / working abroad will be an advantage.
  • You are fluent in English, both in writing and verbal.
