About the position

We are looking for a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer for an exciting and versatile position in an international technology company. With us, you will be part of a highly competent team and have the opportunity for both professional and personal development. The position reports to Manager Electrical, Controls & Process, NEL Hydrogen Electrolyser.


  • Contribute to the development of control and management systems, with solutions that automate or increase the system’s intelligence
  • Regulation and control of industrial processes in hydrogen production
  • Integration of automation systems and digitization solutions
  • Projects for customers in Norway and abroad
  • Large variety of work tasks and technical issues related to process control, machine control, automation, digitization and integration
  • Testing, documentation and electrical design of systems



BSc / MSc in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics or Cybernetics

Preferred skills and abilities

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Benefit from experience from the process industry and / or oil & gas
  • Good IT knowledge
  • Experience with electrical drawing in E3, calculations in Febdok and RIO systems
  • Knowledge and experience with selection and dimensioning of electrical components
  • Experience with assessments around topology design and drawing
  • Experience with FMECA and failsafe design as well as integration of 3rd party equipment
  • Like solving tasks related to automation, control and optimization of industrial processes
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and oral

  • Be aware of quality and cost control
  • Work in a structured, planned and accurate manner
  • Have good collaboration skills 
  • Likes challenges and demanding tasks
