About the position

As a Service Technician in Nel Hydrogen A/S – Service Department, you will be responsible for performing Service and maintenance of hydrogen filling stations primarily in Europe. The base for our Service Department is in Lind near Herning, but as we are developing internationally, with stations in several places in the world, you will also have to work with technicians from other parts of the world. You should expect 100-175 travel days a year, duration of travel varies from 1 day up to 2 weeks, and when you are not performing service on-site, you are at home at the head office in Herning. You will most often perform your work from the service car and most often you will be two technicians at a time to perform the service tasks. You will report to our Resource & Planning Manager Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Work to the highest safety standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met.
  • Carry out periodic service and maintenance in accordance with Nel’ specifications alongside both electrical, mechanical, and hydraulics component replacement and troubleshooting.
  • Perform documentation and reporting to the Engineering Department/management about potential faults and quality issues in the equipment.
  • Proactive contact with customers regarding completed and upcoming service and repairs.
  • Work with subcontractors / other technicians on-site.
  • Participate in safety and product training at our global training center.
  • You should expect to participate in planned On-call duty (approximately every 8th week/weekend).

Qualifications

Education

Electrical, mechanical, or cooling education accompanied by a passion to develop your skills further within these fields.

Required skills and abilities

  • Electrical, mechanical, or cooling education accompanied by a passion to develop your skills further within these fields.
  • Understands reading of electrical diagrams or technical drawings.
  • Good computer skills: experienced in handling different tools or systems to monitor work and documentation.
  • Experienced in working according to service instructions or procedures/standards.
  • A significant understanding of and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety in the work environment.
  • You have a desire to travel and to experience the world through your job and that you can commit to English, written as well as spoken, on a high level.
  • You may have some experience in performing service work e.g., from the Oil/Gas industry or the like, with high safety standards and requirements.
  • You may have experience working with flammable/explosive gases and high.
  • You may have previously had travel work and may have experience working with the customer on their site.
  • Valid driver’s license.
