About the position

An immediate opportunity exists for a highly skilled candidate experienced in manufacturing engineering and project execution. The individual should have strong experience in owning best practices, managing manufacturing builds and testing activities, developing new work cells, and implementing design changes transitioned from Engineering including documentation of work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Salary Range: $85k – $95k


  • Analyze assembly, fabrication, machining, new materials, equipment, and other processes in support of Production
  • Develop and optimize continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization
  • Maximize efficiency by optimization of work cell arrangements, layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization
  • Introduce new manufacturing processes including evaluation and implementation of methods for mistake-proofing during volume production
  • Maintain work instructions and test plans that assemblers can follow detailing specific instructions to produce quality product
  • Determine the equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications
  • Participate in tracking and resolution of recurring nonconformances (elephant charts) including evaluation/disposition of non-conforming material and reporting of scrap data
  • Contribute towards the development of ideas to implement automation/robotics into manufacturing process as production volumes grow
  • In collaboration with product development teams, process Engineering Changes identified during product manufacturing



Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

Required skills and abilities

  • 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing industry (electrochemical devices, fuel cells, seals, heat exchangers, flow plates, precision components)
  • Ability to work with, diagnose, and resolve issues with electromechanical equipment
  • Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative and creative approach to problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple tasks
  • Capable of working well in a multi-disciplinary team environment with high degree of collaboration
  • Proven history in supporting manufacturing testing and operations.
  • Systematic problem-solving skills, 8D analysis, root cause analysis

Preferred skills and abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP is a plus
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems is preferred
  • Experience with 6 DOF, SCARA or pick-and-place robotics is a plus
