This timeline guides you clearly through each step of Nel’s recruitment process, so you always know where you are in the process, and what to expect next.

Your path to joining Nel

Start your career journey in Nel by sending an application through our system.

Make sure you upload your updated resumé. When you apply - we’ll ask you questions, often tied to the role.

You can expect an update on your application within the coming weeks.

We will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your CV, application, and responses to the questions. In your first interview, you will meet with our Talent Acquisition Specialist.

During the conversation, we aim to get to know you better, including your experience and competencies – in addition to formalities such as resignation period and salary expectations.

In this step, you will have a one-to-one conversation with your Hiring Manager. Together, you will discuss your background in-depth, and you’ll receive more insight into the position, your future department, and how we work at Nel.

This will give you the opportunity to ask questions and establish a thorough overview of the role.

For some roles, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will invite you to complete AON online personality and aptitude tests after the 2nd interview. These tests help us understand your strengths and potential, providing a better basis for assessing your suitability for the role with us.

When you are invited to complete the tests, we will also schedule a conversation between you and the TA Specialist where we talk about your reflections.

In your final interview, you’ll meet with others in the Hiring Team, as well as the Hiring Manager.

In some cases we’ll include a case to get a better impression of how you handle and solve realistic challenges that are relevant for the role.

The hiring team will get to know you, ask competency based questions, we’ll have a final discussion about greater aspects of the role and how it matches with you.

A new job is an important choice, so as much as we want to find the right candidate -  we want to make sure we are a good match for you as well.

If you reach this stage, it means we consider you a strong candidate for the role. We will conduct a reference check to verify your qualifications and experience.

Some roles will also require a background check.

If you receive and accept a job offer, we will provide you with all necessary information regarding your start date and the onboarding process within a reasonable time. On your first working day, your manager will welcome you and help you get off to a great start.

You will also participate in an onboarding program, giving you the opportunity to get to know your new role, your new colleagues, and your new company.
