Copenhagen gets a new Nel fueling station

Published: 24th November 2021

On November 12, 2021, a new Nel hydrogen refuelling station (H2stationTM) opened in Copenhagen, at the Everfuel Station in Prags Boulevard.

“This station includes a first for Nel Hydrogen, with both 700bar and 350bar filling capability, and it is actually the first Danish hydrogen refuelling station using a trailer swap solution,” says Lasse D. Dam, Senior Project Manager at Nel.

A collaborative effort

The Everfuel station where Nel’s H2station™ is located is now the largest hydrogen refuelling site ever built in Denmark, and the first hydrogen refuelling site that Everfuel builds in Denmark using Nel Hydrogen equipment.

“This is the first site that Nel and Everfuel builds together. The process has been a good experience where we have gotten to know Everfuel, and it will be an important milestone for future projects,” says Mikkel B. Mastrup, project manager and responsible for finalising the site from Nel’s side.

The H2Station™ in question is the new generation fast 70MPa fueling of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV). Compared with its market-leading predecessor, CAR-100, fueling capacity is up three times – at one third of the space – enabling installation at even compact gas stations.
